Yew’ll Love This!!

I had a big chunk of Yew lying around that I’ve had for months. I finally got around to making something out of it. I managed to get quite a good finish on the bowl and it feels sooo smooth. If you’ve read my channel description, yew’ll know that Yew is one of my favourite woods. This is because it cuts so nicely when yew have sharp tools. I have always had some tear-out with Yew, but the sanding seems to fix it. I remember one of the first times I turned Yew I had terrible tear-out until I realised that I had been cutting down hill the whole time. Once I learned that I should have been cutting up hill, that fixed the problem.

Bocote Bottle Opener!

This is a fun little project that I recently made. I filmed the video as the sun was setting so that’s why it looks different.

A Good (But Very Sketchy) Woodturning Project

I had an idea so I made it. The Oak wood had quite a few cracks in it, but it makes the finished bowl look rustic. I like it! What do you think?

Can I Cut a Dovetail Using Only a Swiss Army Knife?

This was a fun woodworking challenge that I thought up. If you try it your self, email me a photo of how it went at edmund@ebwoodwork.co.uk. I just used pine for this project.

This is my first attempt of testing @MattEstlea ‘s crayon and liming wax wood finish. This is also my first video with a voiceover! Tell me what you think! Competition open to UK residents only. (Sorry).

Making a Birch Ply Chopping Board

This is a short video about how I made a chopping board. It is very simple in design but sometimes less is more. Enjoy!

Woodturning: Apple Shaped Lidded Bowl

This project was never supposed to look like a squashed apple. It just happened that way. I made it to use up a piece of Ash that I had lying around. The knob was an off cut of Oak. I am very pleased with the finish on the ash and the grain really stands out.

Woodturning: The Sweetest Things I’ve Ever Made

In March I made one of these for my Dad’s birthday so I thought I would make a couple more. These are a very fun little project and a great way to use up offcuts, plus they make a great gift!

Woodturning: Mothers day gift

This is how I made a gift for my Mum this year. It is a candle holder made from Sapele, sanded to 320 grit and finished with Microchrystaline wax.

Woodturning: Mahogany and Maple lidded box

This is how I made a Mahogany and Maple lidded box. Mahogany is very enjoyable to turn, as it is quite soft. It is sanded to 320 grit, and finished with Tung Oil and Microcrystalline wax. If you wish to purchase this unique box, it is on my website.

Woodturning: Mahogany Bowl

This is a video of how I made a Mahogany bowl. It is 52mm high and 100mm in diameter. I finished it with Tung Oil and Microcrystalline Wax. Let me know what you think! This bowl will be for sale on my website. If you wish to buy it see the link below. Thanks!

Woodturning: Beaded Bowl

This is my first youtube video. I don’t know what the wood is; I think it is either a kind of Mahogany or Iroko. If you know please put it in the comments. Enjoy!
